That is an inspiring story, Annie. It is interesting that the white "helpers" get the most attention, it seems, but I agree that it took both white and black helpers, working together, to be successful.
Yes, it seems like the white peoples' stories were recorded in a way that they are more accessible, which is of course not a surprise. I find stories about Harriett Tubman and a few others, but most of the information is about the stops on the underground railroad and the people who ran them, not the passengers and organizers. Maybe I can find a story about some of them and share that. But again, it takes everyone working together, no matter how small the part.
